L'arche de la Nature
Tout près de l’hôtel, à dix minutes du centre-ville du Mans, l'Arche de la Nature vous propose une escapade colorée et parfumée au cœur d’un espace naturel de plus de 450 hectares, véritable kaléidoscope des paysages de la Sarthe.
La Maison de l'Eau, an exciting immersion in the world of the river
From March to; November, the Maison de l'eau invites you to discover in a playful and interactive way the diversity of the river ecosystems. You will be unbeatable on trout, bream, pike or even the bouvère !
À to see, to make : large aquariums, the old waterworks (1906) and its waterwheel; blades over 8.5 meters in diameter, the permanent exhibition on wind, solar and hydraulic energy, discover the Huisne by canoe.
The Prairie House
Discover the rich fauna and flora of the bocage and the forest on a pleasant ride in a horse-drawn carriage! After this unusual little stroll, stroll along the paths of the vegetable garden which contains many varieties of heirloom vegetables and fruits as well as aromatic plants. Visitors will learn more about gardening techniques derived from organic methods (composting, cultivation on mounds, mulching, hanging or square gardens).
À see : the sundial in the middle of the vegetable garden, the apiary and its foraging bees on the edges of the path leading to; the prairie farm where have taken up residence for rustic animals such as the Percheron horse, the Le Mans hen, the Rex rabbit or even the goat from the Fosses and the Saosnoise cow
The House of the Forest
Follow a forest path and go to; meeting many wild animals and trees that inhabit the forest.
On the program: a lively and original scenography, film screening, interactive and sensory terminals, models and games…All the secrets of the forest are revealed to you and here you are! ready to go crisscross the approximately 300 hectares of forest of the Arche de la Nature.
